Aside from the creative aspect and altogether fun capturing personal images is for me, there is something indescribable about knowing certain photographs will be a part of a family’s lives forever. Stephanie and Julian requested minimal shots of their faces; something about pregnancy hormones….;-) (Though, as you can see pregnancy suits her, and she looks beautiful!!) The challenge for me, was conveying the emotion of expecting a first child without having facial expressions, an aspect I traditionally seek out.  Hands are incredibly intense; as I began to think about it.  Maybe it’s because we reach for each other with our hands, we speak, we touch, we hold, and we feel with our hands. Note to self, include more hands in my work….
