I’m married!! My husband (still an unusual word to say or write for that matter) and I have been together 7 years and finally tied the knot on March 8th at the Firesky Resort in Scottsdale. We had an amazingly perfect personalized Jewish wedding ceremony followed by dinner and dancing. It was so wonderful to spend time with all of our out of town family and see our two families merge into one.
We also had the opportunity of a lifetime to honeymoon in the South Pacific!! It was as wonderfully romantic as it sounds. We spent two nights in Tahiti at the Le Meridian really just adapting to the seafood for every meal, the time change, and the SLOW lifesytle.
Next we took a plane to Le Taha’a at the Le Taha’a Resort and Spa in at over the water bungalow. Unfortuantely it rained, and by rained I mean tropical stormed, the entire time we were on this island. We took advantage of the spa and had a couples massage. The sounds of actual waves crashing on the beach instead of music simulating that experience was magnificent. We also met some other honeymooners and hunkered down in the bar drinking in the rain. The food was by far some of the most spectacular food I’ve ever eaten. The seafood incredibly fresh and I’m still working off the chocolate couissants with nutella that I ate every morning.
Our final destination was Bora Bora at the Four Seasons. I think it goes with out saying that the Four Seasons is the Four Seasons for a reason. First they upgraded us to a beachside villa. By villa I mean a house bigger than ours. By beachside I mean our own private beach, private pool, private jacuzzi, with a view of Bora Bora’s famous mountain. Here we had perfect weather and snorkeled, kayaked, jet-skiied, toured the main island, and RELAXED in our private beach and pool. Every day they brought us tropical ammenities to enjoy in the afternoon. It was simply lovely and now I am completely and totally spoiled!
Please enjoy some simple shots of the islands that I included in this post. If you ever have the opportunity to travel here I highly recommend it, the people couldn’t be more genuinely friendly, and the scenery brings you closer to god/universe/spectacularness. #1 on Bucket List… CHECK!
