Give this little adorable family some love! I photographed them in Scottsdale, at the McCormick Stillman Railroad park, I forget how much I love shooting there! Engagement Party at Clayton on the Park

This beautiful couple met in college in New Orleans so the groom’s parents threw a New Orleans style engagement party for their West coast friends at the ultra modern Clayton at the Park. What would a New Orleans themed party be without a jazz band?!? What an awesome venue, it was my first time there! The food looked spectacular and everything seemed to go off without a hitch! The couple looked so in love! Congratulations to Jordan and Denille!

Celebrating “Turning 1″ in Heritage Square

I love celebrating milestones with families, it makes my photography even that much more meaningful. You only turn 1 once! And one year olds don’t get much cuter then this little guy and what a good boy he was! His eyes are so deep, he must be an old soul. Just take a look!

He officially started to walk two days later~ On the eve of his actual birthday!!

The best part of this session is that I LOVE seeing the photo below, turn into the photos above!! It is the GREATEST compliment and I very much look forward to photographing the entire extended family next month!

Family Sesh at Rula Bula Irish Pub

There’s nothing more flattering then when driving home from a photography session, you recieve a text from the family you just left saying, “we can’t stop talking about how much fun we had!” Let’s be honest, men typically dread the family photo sessions… so when men enjoy the process, you KNOW you’re on to something! I’m going to say I had just as much fun if not MORE, taking these photos. This group was a hoot, and the energy comes across loud and clear!(Note to self, bring liquor to more adult shoots! lol)

When describing my photography style, I say I enjoy capturing the essence of the “heart” in photographs. There was so much love in this family, the “heart” nearly hits you over the head. They genuinely enjoy being together and their personalities flatter each other effortlessly. It truly was an honor to a part of their family memories.

Mindy’s Family at the Farm at South Mountain

The Farm at South Mountain is a sweet little place that makes you feel as though you aren’t in Phoenix for a moment. It was most certainly fall in the South part of town yesterday. Oh wait, is it actually winter? It is December and 80 degrees, perhaps so… Mindy is a high school friend of mine, and repeat client I might add! It is so fun to see her family grow up, these too cuties just get cuter with time. Well, and you can see for yourself how beautiful Mom is
South Mountain Charges $20 per adult and $10 per child for photos in the pecan groves and is a beautiful option for family photos.

Cheryl + Brett’s Boojum Tree Wedding

I once read a quote “what’s meant to be will always find its way,” and that is certainly the case with Cheryl and Brett. These two dated years ago and through the miracle of Facebook found their way back to each other, making it permanent the 2nd time around. There is not doubt the love these two share is real and I was honored to capture their special day.

Cheryl and Brett spared no detail in making their wedding unique and personal.

The wedding party was beautiful, each with thier unique personal touches!

We’re Engaged!

Welcome Back! I’ve been on a self imposed summer photography hiatus. It’s too hot to walk to the car, much less lift a 12lb. camera. Some exciting news has transpired since my last post, I am engaged! I’ve gone back and forth in my head about including these personal posts since my blog is mostly dedicated to my work. Then I thought, I will really kick myself later if I don’t document all the little things along the way – I am going to be very disappointed in myself. So enjoy a little glimpse into our happiness!

My AUNT ( I exentuate her in capitals because she has 6 nieces and nephews and she complains that none of us call her Aunt.) was the first to send a “bridal” gift – these cute Hankey Pankey’s with BRIDE bejeweled on them, also some of the first engagement cards we recieved, and my ring that I am in LOVE with – its the right amount of modern and traditional and so filled with LOVE. I’m so excited, but mostly because I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend and the greatest man I know!

Getting Creative with Sherry in Paradise Valley

Loving this whisical shoot with Sherry, her wardrobe selection was so unique and funky that backlighting was essential in achieving this dream-like image.

We proceeded outdoors in this ecclectic paradise Valley home to this large wall clock. I feel it gave this image a somewhat Alice in Wonderland feel.

A stark contast to this 2012 version of A Clockwork Orange with a little less raunchiness. This was an incredibly fun and unique session!
