lisa d. is inspired by personality and relationships. It is important for me to capture the true essence of a person and their relationships with others or with themselves.  I am a big believer in following your heart, your heart will never stear you wrong.  I believe I find the “heart” in every photo that I capture.  Because of this, I don’t believe my photography sticks to one style.  I am personally drawn to a vintage modern look, but can also capture/edit to your heart’s desire.
A lifestyle portrait photographer documents the moment as it is naturally, with minimal posing. It brings me great pleasure to capture important memories, personalities, and joy in my art.  Life moves so quickly, to capture only a moment, and have it live on forever is a privilege.
I am a reading teacher turned photographer. Therefore, I adore working with children/teens their families and preserving memories. I also shoot engagements, weddings, headshots.  I am originally from Detroit, MI ~ but primarily grew up in Scottsdale, AZ.  I now live in the Camelback Corridor with my boyfriend and our Goldendoodle, Nash.  I love sunflowers, red wine, + sushi.  My secret wish is that someone would come in + put clean sheets on the bed everyday.  I am obsessed with lemon yellow + slate gray (hense my logo). I’d like to wear fake eyelashes everyday. I will embarressingly admit, I slept with my baby blanket until I was 30 (I still would if my boyfriend would allow it in our bed!)

Photography grabs a single moment out of time and preserves it forever. My company is dedicated to the memory of my wartime photographer grandfather.
