Tips from a Scottsdale Bridal Make-up Artist
Meet Ashlee Miller of Ashlee Miller Artistry. Ashlee is an on-location Scottsdale bridal make-up artist in the valley. She has had a passion for make-up since she was 3 years old because her mom was a make-up artist while Ashlee was growing up. Ashlee has owned and operated Ashlee Miller Artistry for 4 years.

- Don’t spray your face.
Wedding Make-up Trends to Expect this Fall
This fall in bridal make-up you will see classic cat eyes or soft smoky eyes and a bold lip. Pinks, tangerines, and oranges are on trend for the lips. Ashlee’s number one area to focus on with brides are the eyes. The eyes are the window to the soul and it is important to make them pop and sparkle.
Seeking a Natural Flawless Look
Scottsdale bridal make-up artist, Ashlee Miller, cautions brides to not over pluck or over define their eyebrows. She also recommends prepping skin 1 month prior to walking down the aisle. Ashlee uses specific brands of primers and setting sprays to ensure flawlessness. Bridal Tip: Always match your foundation with your jawline so you don’t get a line of foundation along your jaw. This is a common mistake brides make. When applying your foundation avoid putting any under your eyes. Otherwise when you are applying your eye shadow, it may flake or fall under your eyes.
Ashlee’s Favorite
Ashlee’s product line she can’t live without is Makeup Forever, a professional waterproof line, including waterproof lip color. Bridal Tips for Lips: Lips, have many options. Ashlee would highly suggest a liner that is similar in color with the lipstick shade that you will be wearing. In order to sustain a longer life of the lipstick, fill in your lips with the liner and then apply your lipstick over top. Some women may feel more comfortable applying a gloss over the liner. When doing so, try to avoid a high gloss. As this can cause a reflection in your photo.
